Preparing to Film

Hi everyone! I hope everything is well! Today in class we worked on our agenda to make sure that our filming for the opening of the movie goes well!

Actors: Elijah D. and Bianca Z. will be the starring cast for this production. 

Costumes: Elijah will be wearing pajamas/lounge wear, while Bianca wears all black (feeding into the thriller aspect of the opening).

Props:

• Bed

• Pillow & blanket

• Desk or nightstand

• Desk lamp

• Teddy bear (main prop)

• iPhone

• Notebook or paper (background detail)

• Toothbrush

• Toothpaste

• Sink

• Mirror

• Front door

• Doorbell

• Cardboard box

• Small note that says “OPEN ME”

• Couch or chair

• Desk (where the teddy bear is placed)

• Computer monitors or TV screens

• Table for monitors

• Fake camera feeds

• Red recording light sticker or LED

Script:

Scene 1: Elijah’s Bedroom

 

Soft morning light filters through the window.

 

Elijah lies in bed. His eyes open.

 

He sits up slowly.

 

NO DIALOGUE.

 

 

Scene 2: The Bathroom

 

Elijah stands at the sink, brushing his teeth.

 

The sound of running water fills the room.

 

He spits, rinses, and looks up at himself in the mirror.

 

Suddenly...

 

His phone buzzes.

 

Elijah pauses, confused. He answers.

 

 

Continuing Scene 2/3: Phone Call (First and only dialogue)

 

Bianca (V.O.):

I left you a present on your door.

 

Elijah freezes.

 

Elijah:

What?? Who is this??

 

Silence.

 

The call hangs up.

 

Elijah stares at his phone.

 

 

Scene 4: Hallway

 

Elijah walks cautiously toward the front door.

 

No sound except his footsteps.

 

 

Scene 5: Front Door

 

The door opens.

 

A gift box sits neatly on the porch.

 

A note on top reads:

“OPEN ME.”

 

Elijah hesitates, then picks it up.

 

 

Scene 6: Living Room (Continous)

 

Elijah opens the box.

 

Inside: a TEDDY BEAR.

 

Cute. Innocent.

 

But something feels… off.

 

He examines it.

 

 

Scene 7: Teddy Bear POV – Eye Level

 

Elijah is seen from the bear’s perspective.

 

Unaware.

 

Watching.

 

 

Scene 8: Elijah’s bedroom (afternoon)

 

Elijah sets the teddy bear on his desk.

 

As he turns away

 

CUT TO STATIC.

 

 

Scene 9: A Security Room – Unknown Location

 

Multiple surveillance screens show Elijah in different rooms of his house.

 

Bedroom. Bathroom. Living room.

 

A red light blinks: RECORDING.

 

 

Scene 10: Final Shot

 

One screen zooms in on Elijah’s room.

 

The teddy bear sits in the corner.

 

Watching.
